Gorean Meter Team weapon guidelines

DO NOT USE THIS INFORMATION WHEN YOU ARE TUNNING YOUR WEAPONS

This is guidelines that the Gorean Meter team publishes to weapon makers and Sim owners as guidelines for weapons for the Gorean Meter / GM. Note that in many cases weapon like dagger for example has more than one allowed spec where if speed is increased then range is decreased for example.

(Mid size hammers and axes can use pickaxe strike, speed and range (smaller axes can also go with low range sword spec))

*Old style attack type = First parameter.
* New style attack type = Forth parametrer.


For trow weapons and arrows and the sorts there is also a additional option arrow~direct, dagger~direct etc.. these are to be added after the dammage reciever line as a fourth option. And will do a additional dammage of 5% and should only be on a direct collision.

In the attempt to keep weapons ballanced and keep the benefits that we offered with the Enhanced Melee mode to bring back melee at a competitive level then we do not see Melee / thrown weapons as fair game and it does undermine the whole concept of having brought
melee back which did bring all weapon makers a lot of sales, creating hibrids like swords that automatically throw and are strongest of melee and as strong as bow undermines this and will make us pull the enhanced melee out again, thus setting melee sales way down again.

Note, those weapons are only for old style Civil War sims and only work in sims which have enabled such in region server.
